Alison Bennett is an Emmy-nominated writer/producer for television and film. Most recently, she was Co-Executive Producer for an upcoming Netflix show and writing a feature for SONY.
Alison has worked on everything from twenty-two episode network comedies to ten-episode “streamium” shows, from writing to production to post, live action and animated. She spent five years on an overall deal at 20th Television, where she was staffed on shows like “Single Parents” (ABC), “LA to Vegas” (FOX), and the Children’s & Family Emmy-nominated “Doogie Kamealoha, MD” (Disney+). Throughout her deal, Alison also developed and supervised multiple pilots for networks under the Disney umbrella.
Prior to Alison’s time at 20th, she wrote for the first four seasons of FX/X's critically acclaimed comedy "You’re The Worst." Other TV credits include "The Awesomes" (Hulu) and "Betas" (Amazon Studios).
Alison lives in Los Angeles but originally hails from Central Pennsylvania, in a town where the federal penitentiary staged a haunted house for the public every year. Alison received her BFA in drama from Syracuse University and is an alum of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre New York. She is in this year’s class of the WGA’s Showrunner Training Program.
